Leather Lace and Uptown Charlotte Bridals: Introducing the new Mrs. Corriher!

We knew Courtney’s bridal session was going to be fabulous when she said she wanted a modern, editorial style with geometric patterns. We brainstormed for this session with her a few weeks prior and planned to meet her in Uptown Charlotte.

We started at Founders Hall with a gorgeous architectural, glass backdrop. Next we ventured outside to capture the city of Charlotte in her portraits. Of course, we knew this girl was stunning, but we were reminded just how stunning when nearly everyone on the street stopped to say how beautiful she looked in her wedding gown!

Courtney was stunning and had the perfect figure to wear this dress from Classic Bride in Cornelius. From afar, you see the lace, but up close you can see that it’s actually a leather-lace overlay. Talk about incredible!

Courtney knew she wanted a dress that was different, and fell in love with this one after shopping around. We can see why!

We think it’s important to not let the dress overpower the bride but this dress deserves it’s own special moment! It lent itself very well to beautiful bridal portraits.

We also featured her tulle skirt worn over the dress. She wore the tulle skirt for today’s ceremony at the Corriher Estate. We adore the removable skirt because of the dimension it adds to her images!

With two hours in uptown Charlotte, we had plenty of time to play with textured walls, gorgeous buildings and everything else Uptown Charlotte has to offer. We stopped at 11 (yes 11!) different spots within just a one mile radius and they were all fabulous.

Karen’s eye for the perfect setting for a portrait is truly unmatched. We hope you enjoyed looking through her bridal session as much as we enjoyed photographing the new Mrs. Corriher!
