Adair Style Studio and Irresistible Portraits Collaborate for Styled Shoot

Adair Style Studio started out of the bedroom of Sydney Cook and with traveling trunk shows, a story we here at IP can relate to! Karen started her studio out of her basement 28 years ago. Since then, Adair has grown and turned into the go-to boutique for the trendiest clothes for fashionable women of all ages. We admire Sydney’s  entrepreneurial spirit so much! She’s a great reminder that women can accomplish anything they set their mind to.

We started planning our shoot with Sydney back in February and have been excited about it ever since! We pulled out all the stops for this one. Professional hair, airbrush makeup and of course the best clothes in town!

Alex Splawn helped out by styling each girl’s hair to match our boho aesthetic. We reached out to Alex and she was on board to help right away! She graduated from the Paul Mitchell the School in Charlotte and has been specializing in formal hair and updos ever since! Alex featured braids and texture in the hair styles for our shoot. We were swooning over each look!

Makeup was professionally done by Leah Clayton. You might recognize her as our own front desk girl, Karen’s assistant, or marketing “guru” as Karen likes to put it, but aside from all things IP, Leah does freelance makeup for special events, proms and weddings! If you’d like to contact her about makeup for your next event, you can send her an email at!

The Loft at 14th was the perfect space to have our models get ready and also to use for photographing! It’s the cutest, little event space in downtown Concord. We used the staircase and gorgeous brick walls for parts of our shoot. The Loft at 14th was the perfect, trendy backdrop!

The rest of our shoot was in downtown Concord with white alley ways and industrial parking garages. These sets really let the clothes and our models stand out!2017-06-09_0007

Take a look at just a few of the awesome images from this shoot!

We can’t thank everyone involved with this shoot enough, the models, the hair and makeup, the venue and the clothes! You all let us be creative and have fun doing what we love, being behind the camera!
